How to access/bypass blocked websites

Social sites that are often blocked include Myspace, Youtube, Facebook or Bebo and some other sites. Using the Internet at a school, college, library, office or some other place that blocks or restricts can be really boring. They filter certain websites or IP addresses that you tried to go to. You can use Web based proxy service which allows you to surf anonymously but they sometimes work. Learn how to access/bypass blocked websites, this method can be used with any blocked website.

For this case, i will use Youtube(this method can be used with any blocked website)

Method 1: Using Google.com

Step 1:

Go to www.google.es, and search for youtube. Click the translate link in Google (see image below).

Step 2:

Now Google will act as your proxy, you’ve already access/bypass your school or office blocked websites but the language is in Spanish! How do i understand?

Go to your web address bar, copy and paste URL in your text editor.

Find (use CTRL+F to find) hl=es and change to hl=en. Then find sl=en and change to sl=es.

After you’ve edited the the URL, copy and paste in your browser and press Enter. Now Youtube is translated to English, click Remove frame and start surfing!

Method 2: Using Babel Fish

Step 1:

Go to www.babelfish.yahoo.com(change language English to Spanish), add your link you want translate and click translate.

Step 2:

For Firefox, right click at the translated page and click This Frame -> Show Only This Frame

Note: If your school or company got no Firefox installed, do it at home and save the edited URL

Step 3:

Then follow Method 1 on Step 2. Go to your web address bar, copy and paste URL in your text editor.

Find (use CTRL+F to find) en_es and change to es_en.

Method 3: Using CMD

Step:1

Note: This trick sometimes work because some school or office even filter IP addresses but worth a try

Open CMD

For Vista: You can hold down shift and right-click and you will get the option to “Open Command Window Here.”

For XP: Click “Start“, go to Run and type “CMD

Step:2

Type “ping www.youtube.com”(you can ping other websites too).

Step:3

Copy the IP. paste it in your browser and start surfing!

    Thanks for the info. I’m using Freedur right now which so far is getting the job done. A whole lot better that using proxy sites. All this site-blocking is pretty frustrating for anyone especially foreigners living in China. I mean, how in the world are we supposed to network with our friends and family when we’re now so limited.
