How to use a custom email in MSN Messenger

I used a custom email for my MSN Messenger, my friends were surprised and they ask me how. You don’t need a Hotmail email account to use MSN Messenger. You can use your own custom email to login in your MSN Messenger. Firstly you need a custom domain name. You can use cheap hosting like Godaddy.com or you can search through Google.com for cheap domains. For this case i will be using Bluehost.com to create my custom email.

After you,ve sign up in Bluehost.com, login to your cPanel account, look for Mail tab and click Email Accounts(see image below).

Add your own email, Generate Password (you can use your own password) and click Create button.

Now you have your custom email, remember to save your Email Account settings just in case. Read below to configure your custom email in MSN Messenger.

Configure your custom email in MSN

You need to register a Passport with your own email in MSN. Go here to register. Fill in the required form and you are done.

Activating your MSN

If don’t have MSN installed, click here to download and install.

Login to your MSN account with custom email(use your password that you generated in Bluehost.com).

Now that you have login to your MSN, you need to activate your MSN first.

Configure you Email

Go here to learn How to configure Outlook (Windows XP) or Mail (Windows Vista).

After you’ve configure your Email, check your inbox and and click the Activation link. Now you,ve activated your MSN. You can use a custom email in MSN Messenger!
